self development

Self-Development, Emotional Healing, Relationship Issues and much, much more…

On these pages you will find that I integrate a wide range of different philosophies and sciences with the sole aim of helping you to improve your life. You will also find articles and submissions from like-minded colleagues and professionals.

All my life I have questioned how things work, why they work, why are we like we are? Why do people behave so badly? What is love? How can we be happy in this terrible world?

I looked into every avenue including

  • Positive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology, Social Psychology.
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
  • Neuroscience.
  • The Psychology of Learning.
  • Christianity, Theology
  • Buddhism, Mindfulness
  • A Course in Miracles.
  • Meditation.
  • Various Philosophies, too many to mention.
  • Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Alternative Healing.
  • Energy Healing, Kinesiology, and various alternative healing methods
  • and every self-help book on the market….

The point is – the more I learn the more I realise how little I know!   There is so much wisdom and knowledge available and my wish is to impart what I have learned over the last 40 years and point you to more information and other sources. I hope that you will join the fun, add your wisdom and enjoy your journey.

Life in all its complex and wondrous intricacies is either very difficult to understand, or we are making it more complex than it ever needs to be.  Either way, we definitely don’t yet have all the answers – however what we do have is some excellent advice, very gifted healers and a truly amazing universe to discover together.

Fantastic webiste for an excellent practitioner, thanks for everything Gayle – you have made a huge difference in my life.

  • Hi Gayle. Thanks for the invitation to contribute. I like your opening remarks here.
I am offering a post I wrote on my blog which is very simple, rather practical but, just looks a little more closely at how we can understand each other. The post is: Paula’s Five Communication Steps
    Here is the link: http://therapiststhoughts.blogspot.com/2011/08/paulas-five-communication-steps.html
My blog is called A Therapist’s Thoughts. It is about psychology and therapy but pretty wide-ranging (including art, meditation, yoga, inspirational messages). My idea in beginning it was not far from yours; I wanted to offer to people who might not be able to access a private practice therapist a bit of a flavor of what that experience is like.
Good luck in your endeavor here!
